Confession: I have a bad habit of being too hard on myself.
In the world of Pinterest perfection, it is so easy to focus on all the things that I’m not doing instead of the great things that I am.
It is time to change that.
It is time to celebrate more, don’t you think?
Right now I’m taking control and making the decision to enjoy the Little Wins™ every day.
Here are 9 Little Wins we can all have today!
1. Getting Up Early and Reviewing Goals and Affirmations
Starting your day off with positive affirmations and focusing on what you want is one of the most powerful changes you can make. For me, this is non-negotiable time. If I miss it, my day is never quite right.
2. Working Out Before Work
After years of struggling to find the time to work out consistently, I’ve discovered that if I want to get my workout in, it has to happen before I start my work day. It is such a great little win that leaves me feeling good all day long.
3. Snacking Consciously
In the past, snacking was something that I struggled with. I would eat healthy meals and then end up face planting in a bag of chips or digging out that not-so-secret chocolate bar I had hiding under the kale.
These days, I’m finding I don’t need that emergency chocolate bar, thanks to ZonePerfect Nutrition Bars. They help me stay on track and enjoy little wins throughout my active day.
I love that they are the perfect on-the-go snack for my busy day and that they are packed with protein. The Chocolate Peanut Butter is a favorite of mine, and it packs a whopping 14 grams of protein per bar. Protein never tasted so good!
There are so many different varieties of ZonePerfect Nutrition Bars available – some other favorites include Cinnamon Roll, Chocolate Chip Cooke Dough, and Dark Chocolate Almond.
You can pick up ZonePerfect Nutrition Bars at Walmart in the Health and Wellness area near the Pharmacy.
Right now you can join the Little Wins Snack and Rally campaign by snacking like you mean it!
4. Taking the Stairs Instead of the Elevator
Or park the car in the back of the parking lot. Whatever works! Just make an effort to move a little more throughout the day.
5. Planning Your Meals and Eating Right
Yes, I’ve mentioned this before. (Maybe more than once…) But this is a game changer when it comes to eating right. If you don’t have a plan in place, it becomes next to impossible.
6. Giving Yourself a 15 Minute Time Out to Read a Magazine or Book
Taking time for yourself is always a win! Even when things are crazy, try to squeeze out a few minutes to read something you enjoy. It is an excellent way to lose yourself for a bit and create a little joy in your life.
7. Going for a Walk at Lunchtime
I don’t know about you, but there are a lot of days that I find myself mindlessly eating lunch next to my computer. Instead of surfing social media when you are done eating, why not take a walk and connect with nature?
8. Drinking Eight Glasses of Water a Day
We all know we should drink eight glasses of water a day, but doing it is another story. I read recently that when the brain is 10% dehydrated that it becomes 50% less efficient. YIKES!
9. Tell Someone You Appreciate Them
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I forget to tell those closest to me how much I appreciate all that they do. This is even true for my kids! The boys do such a great job with Skye, and it is easy to take this for granted. There is nothing better than seeing the pride on their faces when I call out just how amazing they are!
