Even if it isn’t warm where you are yet, you probably have started to think about Spring. I know those of you up North are ready for some warm weather.
But are your feet?
Chances are a long winter covered up has left them dry and in serious need of a little TLC before they are ready for sandals.
Today, I’ve got the most amazing DIY healing foot cream for you! It is easy to make and nourishing enough that it will handle the most serious case of Alligator Skin. (Trust me, hubby has the driest skin you’ve ever seen. This cream even helped him!)
Choosing an Essential Oil Company to Trust with Your Health is a Big Decision
I recommend Rocky Mountain Oils because I honestly believe they are the best oils for the money. They have strong ethics about oil production and grow their oils in their native environment. All of their oils are either organically certified, organically grown or wild crafted with no adulterating. (Most oils you buy at the local health food store are adulterated with propylene glycol or a similar substances. )
I love that they are NOT an MLM, so there are no required orders or membership fees. They offer free shipping, so it makes sense to order even if you just need one bottle!
Healing Foot Cream
1/2 cup organic vegetable shortening
1 teaspoon beeswax
3 tablespoons brewed German Chamomile tea
1 teaspoon baking soda
15 drops lavender essential oil
15 drops geranium essential oil
5 drops peppermint essential oil
In a small saucepan, heat shortening and beeswax over low heat until melted. Remove saucepan from heat.
In another saucepan, warm tea and baking soda. Remove from heat.
When both mixtures are about the same temperature, place the shortening pan in a bowl of ice cubes. Add essential oils and mix well. Slowly add in the tea mixture, whisking well as you go.
To use, slather onto feet at bedtime and put on socks. Store away from heat and light. You may store for up to a year in the refrigerator or three months at room temperature.
