Unless it is below 65 degrees, chances are you will find me in sandals or flip-flops. Because of this, keeping my feet smooth is a priority. They take a lot of damage because I am always barefoot at home. This time of year, I do a lot of walking at the beach too. As much as I enjoy it, it takes its toll on my feet. I love to get a pedicure, but I’m not a big fan of the smell in most nail salons. Plus, with three kids it can be challenging to find the time. Instead of spending the time and money going to get a Pedicure, I’ve developed the perfect system to salon results at home. My secret weapons are the Amopé Pedi Perfect™ electronic nail file electronic foot file and electronic nail file. I picked them up at CVS. I’ve been in love with the Amopé Pedi Perfect electronic foot file since I first tried it last year. I love that no matter how rough my feet are the Amopé Pedi Perfect is up for the job! Plus, you don't have to soak your feet ahead of time to soften them up. I don't know about you, but I've got better things to do than sit around with my feet in a basin of water. The Amopé Pedi Perfect makes quick work of my calloused feet. It has an ergonomically shaped head, so it works great on even the curviest contours of your feet. It also has replaceable roller heads for all skin types. There is a coarse roller head for regular skin and extra coarse for hard callused skin. By the way, this isn’t just for the ladies! I would have bet my life that there was nothing out there that could make a difference in my husband's alligator feet, but this did! He was contemplating using an electric sander, but the Amopé Pedi was a much safer alternative (it has no sharp blades). Here are the steps to getting a great pedicure at home.
DIY Pedicure for #SoftFeetAllSummer
STEP ONE: Shape
If it has been a while since you've had a pedicure, clip your toenails to the desired length. Then use the Amopé Pedi Perfect electronic nail file to file your nails. Start with the coarse file and then move to the medium one.
STEP TWO: Exfoliate
Place a towel under your feet and use the Amopé Pedi Perfect electronic foot file to quickly file away all of the dead skin (you will be surprised at just how well it works)! Once your feet are smooth, massage with a foot lotion. I like this DIY Healing Foot Cream.
STEP THREE: Polish
Buff nails to a sheen with the Amopé Pedi Perfect electronic nail file. Then add a drop of lavender essential oil to each cuticle. Massage into skin. Add a base coat and two coats of desired polish.
