Feeling anxious or depressed? This Find Your Zen Inhaler Blend is just what you need to get on the road to feeling better. The idea that essential oils can hep with depression and to manage moods may be new to you, but think about how ANY smell can impact how you feel – from your Mom’s cookies baking to the smell of a hospital.
I mentioned in this post and this one that lately I’ve been a bit stressed, anxious and generally out of sorts.
I’ve realized that I’ve been so focused on taking care of everyone else that I’ve been completely neglecting self-care. This includes doing anything for fun, taking the time to reflect and even the basics like getting a hair cut.
The result is anxiety that I struggle to escape. I can best describe it as a near constant feeling that there is something twisting in my back. I look at my to-do list and get completely overwhelmed. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing; I feel like there is something else I also need to be doing at that moment.
I know most every mom struggles with overwhelm from time to time.
Although I am so tired that I’m tempted just to give into it, eat chocolate all day and wait for this season of life to pass, I know that won’t solve anything. I’ve added some supplements to my routine; I’m trying to balance my diet with quality protein and lots of veggies; I’m going to be taking some downtime and reading a novel this weekend, and I’m also breaking out my essential oils to help manage depression and my moods.
The idea that essential oils can help to manage moods may be foreign to some of you. But if you think about it, all kinds of smells can impact your mood, from the smell of your Grandmother’s cookie recipe baking in the oven to the smell of a nursing home.
This is thanks to the connection between our limbic system (which controls our moods) and our sense of smell.
This is one of my favorite blends when I need a lift!
Choosing an Essential Oil Company to Trust with Your Health is a Big Decision
I recommend Rocky Mountain Oils because I honestly believe they are the best oils for the money. They have strong ethics about oil production and grow their oils in their native environment. All of their oils are either organically certified, organically grown or wild crafted with no adulterating. (Most oils you buy at the local health food store are adulterated with propylene glycol or a similar substances. )
I love that they are NOT an MLM, so there are no required orders or membership fees. They offer free shipping, so it makes sense to order even if you just need one bottle!
