These are such precious times with my kids.
The boys, though tweens, still think their Mom rocks. Those snuggles I was sure would disappear two years ago are still there, and every week we try to get out for a mom and boys date. The most amazing thing in the world to me is simply talking to them.
Skye….well, she is still a threeager. But she is a cute, funny and often very sweet threeager. Every day I feel like I move a step closer to the mommy-nirvana known as having a four-year-old.
I’ve been working hard to make sure that I soak up every minute with them.
One of my favorite nights recently is when I stopped by Zoës Kitchen in Destin while I was out running errands. I love that Zoës offers the quality of a fresh home cooked meal with the convenience of fast casual.
I knew our schedule was tight. It was supposed to be a beautiful night, and I wanted to make the best of it. I picked up dinner so that the kids could make it past sunset and we could watch the stars together. It turned out to be an amazing show.
Dinner was equally successful.
I feel fantastic when as I mom I feed my kids with ingredients I trust and flavors they love. Since my kids are super-picky, I never know how they are going to react to new restaurants and new menus. The new expanded Zoës kids menu offers more choices and adventure for the more sophisticated palates of my little ones.
A major win came out of this. You guys know that I think hummus should be a food group, but Christian has never agreed. He tried Zoës hummus, as a side dish, and loved it.
I love that Zoës left me free to enjoy a special evening of adventuring with the kids.
