I mentioned in this post that we were gearing up for Skye’s birthday season.
Yes, season. Because life is short so why celebrate just one day?!
We had such a good week celebrating our little girl. She has such a big personality and loved every moment of it.
I’ve tried to keep things simple – instead of a big gift we just loaded up on things like bubbles, paints, balloons, water toys and play-dough. I also stocked up on Pillsbury™ Gluten Free Premium Cake Mixes, Brownie Mix, Cookie Mixes, and Frostings at Walmart. This made it so easy to mix up a moment with the family.
We had a cookout yesterday, and the boys helped me make these Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwiches. Thanks to Pillsbury™ Gluten Free Cookie Mix, they came together so easily.
We so much fun making and decorating them! They especially loved dipping the little sandwiches into the sprinkles.
I cherish the memories with them almost as much as seeing her reaction to them.
Skye loves cookies and ice cream and is all about the sprinkles, so I knew she would love them.
The minute she saw them when she woke up from her nap she screamed “party” and went to get her party hat. (She has insisted that we wear these hats all week.)
To discover more simple ways to mix up a moment with your family during your spring cookouts, make sure you check this out.
You can get this Ibotta coupon for the purchase of any 3 Pillsbury Gluten Free Premium Cake Mixes, Brownie Mix, Cookie Mixes, or Frostings.
What is your favorite way to Mix Up a Moment with your family?
- 1 box Pillsbury™ Gluten Free Premium Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Make cookies according to this recipe. Allow to cool COMPLETELY. (I put mine in the fridge to make sure they were completely cool.)
- Put a large spoonful of ice cream on one cookie and top with another. Place sprinkles in a small bowl and dip the edge of the sandwiches in the sprinkles. Transfer to a plate lined with parchment paper and store in freezer.
