There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can’t stand to be alone and those who neat solitude like they need air.
I belong to the second group.
Being a Mom of three in a busy family, this often presents a challenge.
I supposed I’d spend a LOT of time in the bathroom if I thought this would increase my chances of alone time. Sadly, there is almost always a toddler banging on the door, making sitting in an empty tub reading a novel on my iPad a really unappealing proposition. (Mercifully the boys a past this phase.)
My solution to get the time alone I need is to get up very early. I used to try to use this time to get started in the kitchen – maybe get dinner started or if I’m in the mood start the batter for pancakes for the kids.
Then any slight noise started waking Skye up.
Since a toddler that gets up at 5:30am is not generally an easy toddler by lunch time, I stopped doing this.
Instead, I sneak out side with a cup of coffee and enjoy the quiet before chaos starts.
Of course, this means no pancakes.
Lately, I’ve been saving time in the kitchen by making smoothies all around. I mean what kid could resist a chocolate mint “milkshake” for breakfast?
The Quality of The Essential Oils You Use Matters!
I’ve tried most every essential oil company out there, and I am thrilled to recommend Plant Therapy as my preferred company!
After looking closely at the quality, purity, and ethics of so many companies, I’ve fallen in love with both the company and their oils. They are serious about safety and go to great lengths to test every single batch to ensure purity!
Read my full Plant Therapy Review for why they are my go-to company.
Please don’t tell the kids that they aren’t having milkshakes for breakfast, ok? And let’s definitely not tell them I’m slipping greens in there.
