When I stared in the mirror, I saw frizzy hair.
When did this happen? In my younger years, my hair was always so shiny. Sure the Florida humidity could get to it from time to time, but nothing like this.
I owe genetics that have had me coloring on a regular basis since my early 30’s. I’m pretty sure if I didn’t, I’d be about 90% gray.
Call me vain, but I’d rather people not assume that I was Skye’s grandmother. I know that technically, I could be. But dealing with a threenager at 45 is difficult enough without letting my mind go there.
So, I continue to color. And thus continue to find ways to fight the frizz.

The only downside? The look from the UPS guy when you answer the door and your head is covered in food.

DIY Hair Mask for Damaged Hair
1/2 avocado, pitted and diced
1 tablespoon coconut oil
2 tablespoons plain yogurt
2 teaspoons honey
10 drops rosemary essential oil
Combine avocado, coconut oil, yogurt, and honey in a bowl of a small food processor and process until smooth. Transfer to a glass or ceramic bowl and stir in rosemary essential oil.
Apply to hair and cover with a shower cap or towel. Leave on for 20 minutes, then shampoo out.
