DIY Foot Cream
½ cup organic vegetable shortening
1 teaspoon beeswax
3 tablespoons brewed German Chamomile tea
1 teaspoon baking soda
15 drops lavender essential oil
15 drops geranium essential oil
5 drops peppermint essential oil
In a small saucepan, heat shortening and beeswax over low heat until melted. Remove saucepan from heat.
In another saucepan, warm tea and baking soda. Remove from heat.
When both mixtures are about the same temperature, place the shortening pan in a bowl of ice cubes. Add essential oils and mix well. Slowly add in the tea mixture, whisking well as you go.
To use, slather onto feet at bedtime and put on socks. Store away from heat and light. You may store for up to a year in the refrigerator or three months at room temperature.
