I don’t know about you, but feeding my family of five can get exhausting. I don’t just mean the cooking part, but the planning and grocery shopping too. Some days I feel like I’m going to scream if one more person asks me “What’s for dinner?” (Or breakfast. Or lunch.)
I’ve been working hard to end my overwhelm, and at times food can be a significant contributor. Because of this, I was excited to have the chance to try Terra’s Kitchen.
What is Terra’s Kitchen?
Terra’s Kitchen is a meal delivery service that focuses on the highest quality real foods. Their recipes are plant-strong and nutrient dense. I love that they never use artificial or processed ingredients!
In addition to offering real food, Terra’s Kitchen also works hard to care for the Earth. They seek out sustainable food sources and work hard to reduce their impact on the environment.
How it Works
Terra’s Kitchen delivers freshly prepped ingredients in the right proportions that allow you to make a meal in less than 30 minutes. They do all the menu planning, shopping, cutting a preparation. Every week you can customize your menu, or you can let them do it for you. You can also add grab and go items to your weekly delivery. It is easy to skip weeks, and you can cancel at any time. I was able to get four meals for two people for less than $100, which compares to what I would have spent for similar meals had I done the shopping.
The items are shipped to you in a climate-controlled vessel which can be re-used up to 100 times. After you unpack, you simply peel the sticker off and return the vessel to them so that it can be re-used.
What I Tried
Grilled Chicken Tacos with Avocado Goat Cheese Sauce – Tender grilled chicken, tangy, smooth avocado goat cheese sauce and house made Pico de gallo.
Tender Chicken, Sweet and Spicy Dressed Greens and Cheese Pom-Poms – Tender chicken, strawberry jalapeño dressed greens, warm cilantro goat cheese balls.
Vegan Power Bowl – Sweet potatoes, kale, onion, spicy chickpeas, and cannelloni bean dressing.
Kale Corn Succotash over Cheesy Chicken – Kale, corn, tomatoes, warm goat cheese, juicy chicken.
What I Thought
We love all of the meals! I would be hard-pressed to pick a favorite. It was such a treat not to have to think about what was for dinner for hubby and I and to have all of the prep-work done for me.
Since everything comes pre-portioned, in addition to being convenient it is an excellent way to stay on track with my nutrition goals.
This is something I would look forward too when things get busy. A great Recipe for Real Life!
