It is hard for me to believe that January has flown by so quickly.
I am happy to report that I haven't broken a SINGLE New Year's Resolution.
Before you get impressed, I have to come clean.
The reason for my "success" is that I never made any New Year's resolutions.
I didn't even get around to making loose goals for the year.
Even though I am not a big fan of "resolutions", I usually spend a LOT of time setting goals.
Unfortunately, this year hasn't gone as planned.
Our family was hit hard with sickness in December, and it continued into the New Year.
I got sick.
I got better.
I got sick again.
Repeat.
All three kids and hubby were sick in there too.
My oldest was on the same sick - healthy - sick cycle I was on.
It. Was. The. Worst.
How to Make Turmeric and Ginger Tea
We are typically very healthy. It has been YEARS since we've been sick like this. (It is only the second time that Skye has been ill for more than 48 hours in her life.)
All of this has made me realize that I needed to step back and reevaluate what I am doing to support our immune systems. And I need to be better prepared for when sickness strikes.
Now that I'm feeling better, I have been making immune-boosting recipes like today's Turmeric Ginger Tea.
Something else that I discovered after we were done with the plague is Quantum Health's organic drops. Oh, how I wish I had known about them in December - before we ever got sick.
You may already know that Zinc supports a healthy immune system. Studies show that especially when taken in lozenges form as soon as cold hits it may help shorten the duration and intensity.
Quantum Health's TheraZinc Lozenges give your immune system the boost it needs to stay healthy and overcome illness if and when it hits.
I sure wish I had had their Cough Relief Lozenges with lemon and honey. They soothe a sore throat and cough so that you feel like not only setting but also accomplishing goals.
Speaking of goals, I am planning a half day this week to work on my 2018 goals (while drinking this Turmeric Ginger Tea and taking these TheraZinc lozenges!) and I can't wait to get excited about the year to come.
And I'm stocking up on Quantum Health Lozenges so that I can stay on my feet and crush my goals.
How is your year going? Have you ever tried a turmeric tea recipe? Leave a comment and let me know.

My husband loves to drink hot teas. I don't think he has ever tried a turmeric tea, I will have to save this for him!

I love this tea! I've never made it myself but use a lemon ginger tea bag and add turmeric to it when I'm sore or need to take care of some inflammation. It works wonders!

This tea sounds really good. I also have found ginger to be very soothing when I have been sick. Also I will let you know you are not alone, I did not make any New Years resolutions either as I always feel there is no reason to do it based on a calendar but more based on when is right for me lol.

Turmeric is one of those things that really helps my skin. With my immune disorder I was told that this would help swelling. I would love to try this tea.
