I’m a big believer that trying new things is a key to happiness. Otherwise, we stagnate. Through trying new things, we grow and learn more about ourselves.
Sometimes this is easy, but sometimes I need some inspiration.
Luckily, I have a secret weapon.
When I’m planning the perfect summer, I look no further than my iPad. More specifically, I reach for Texture.
If you’ve never heard of it, you are in for a treat.
Having Texture is like going to a bookstore and spending hundreds of dollars on magazines without the cost or the clutter.
For a flat monthly fee, you can read as many full issues of magazines as you like. They have every kind of magazines you can think of.
Magazines like Food Network, People, Real Simple and Parents. They even have Vegetarian Times and Gluten Free Living.Planning the Perfect Summer? Check out my secret weapon! @Texture #SummerByTextureClick To Tweet
I was thrilled when Texture asked me if I would introduce you to them because I’ve been a loyal paying customer for years. I LOVE it! I would give up cable and my cell phone before I’d give up my Texture! I use it every day.
If you are looking to plan the perfect (rest of your) summer, Texture is the perfect way to get a LOT of inspiration.
Here are some ways it can help!
The first place you are going to want to start is with 101 Amazing Ways to Soak Up Summer in Martha Stewart Living. It has got some amazing ideas on how to have fun this summer, and there is a little something for everyone in it.
One of my favorites is the tip that there is an upcoming double header of meteor showers coming up starting July 28. Can’t wait to see this with the kids. They even have an app suggestion to help you find a Dark Sky to view them in!
There isn’t a month that goes by that I don’t clip dozens of recipes from Texture. In fact, I’ve got over 10,000 notes saved! (If this were a blogging article, I’d share tips on why every blogger should be using it, but since 99% of you aren’t bloggers I won’t go into the details of my system.)
Still,…you need this in your life! Right now, I’ve got the Cheddar and Almond Broccoli Salad from the August edition of Cooking Light on the menu.
I’m also in party planning mode, pouring over the Favorite Summer Party Foods in Food Network Magazine for some ideas. I love their collections, where you often find the best seasonal ideas!
You can’t have a great summer if you aren’t feeling your best!
Friends and family are always asking me my thoughts on natural remedies, and I must say that many of thing things I share I’ve learned from magazines on Texture. This month I learned something that I’ll be putting into practice myself.
Ever since Skye was born, I’ve suffered from terrible PMS. The July/August Clean Eating Magazine reports that according to a study published in the Complementary Therapies in Medicine, taking curcumin may help with physical, behavioral and emotional PMS symptoms.
I am so looking forward to feeling better this summer!
Unlike traditional magazines, Texture has a search function. This means that if you find yourself faced with a health issue (or are just looking to use up the ingredients in your fridge), you can simply type it into the search bar, and it will pull up all the articles in the archives that are relevant. You read that right. You’ve could a couple of years of magazines right at your fingertips when you have Texture.
Looking for a little inspiration? There are articles in numerous magazines to find the best beach reads. I filled my summer reading list thanks to The 100 Best Beach Reads in New York Magazine.
I am about as far from a fashionista as you can be, so when it comes time to go shopping I’ll be reaching for InStyle. Their Girls of Summer article is just what I need!
There is so much great inspiration out there, from Travel & Leisure to Outside and Backpacker and even Southern Living. Even if you are late in planning, Conde’ Nast Traveler has an article on The 26 Trips You Can Still Book This Season. No matter what your travel style is, you are sure to be inspired.
As you can see, there is so much inspiration for the best summer ever if you know where to look! You can check out Texture Here.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Texture. The opinions and text are all mine.
