20-Minute Instant Pot Jasmine Rice

Cooking rice in the Instant Pot is a breeze! This easy recipe can be made with just a few simple ingredients and yields perfect jasmine rice every time!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups white jasmine rice
  • 3 ½ cups water or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter optional

Instructions

  • Rinse the rice well.
  • Place the rice, water or broth, salt, and pepper in the inner bowl of the Instant Pot.
  • Cut the butter into cubes and add to the Instant Pot if you are using.
  • Put the lid on the pot, and set it to sealing.
  • Set to high pressure, and set the time for 5 minutes.
  • When the time is up do a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, and then do a quick release.
  • Carefully open the lid. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Stir well and serve warm.
