30-Minute Blackstone French Toast

For a deliciously indulgent breakfast ideal for leisurely weekend mornings, Blackstone Griddle French Toast is perfect. The fluffy center of the bread is surrounded by a lightly crispy crust just waiting to be topped with your favorite syrup or fruit compote. It is a sweet start that will make any day a little better!

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs beaten
  • ¾ cup half and half
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 loaf bread sliced 1-inch think (Brioche, Sourdough, French, Texas Toast)
  • Butter for cooking
  • Toppings: Maple syrup honey, yogurt, powdered sugar, whipped cream, blueberry or strawberry compote and/or berries, for serving

Instructions

  • In a large measuring cup, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Arrange the bread in a shallow casserole dish, and your the mixture over them, turning them until they are well moistened.
  • Allow to sit for 15 minutes.
  • Heat your Blackstone grilled to moderately low heat, about 325° F.
  • Melt the butter in your griddle and cook until golden, about 2 to 3 minutes per side.
