Air Fryer Honey Garlic Salmon Bites

These air fryer salmon bites are one of the easiest weeknight dinners that my kids will actually eat. With a sweet and sticky, honest garlic glaze and crisp edges, this twenty-minute dinner is one I turn to again and again.

Equipment

Ingredients

Salmon

Honey Garlic Glaze

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce or gluten-free tamari
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • For serving: sesame seeds sliced green onion

Instructions

  • Remove the salmon skin and pat dry. Cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes.
  • Place in a bowl and toss with the oil. In a small dish, combine the cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, then toss with the salmon.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Spray the basket (if your model permits; some recommend not spraying) or use an air fryer liner to prevent sticking. Air fry the salmon in a single layer for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until it reaches 130°F.
  • While the salmon is cooking, make the glaze. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5 minutes. In a small dish, whisk together the cornstarch and water, then add to the glaze. Cook for 1 more minute.
  • Place the salmon in a bowl and gently toss with the glaze.
  • Top with sesame seeds and sliced green onion.

Notes
