Blackstone French Toast

For a deliciously indulgent breakfast ideal for leisurely weekend mornings, Blackstone French Toast is perfect. The fluffy center of the bread is surrounded by a lightly crispy crust just waiting to be topped with your favorite syrup or fruit compote. It is a sweet start that will make any day a little better!

INGREDIENTS

– 6 large eggs beaten – ¾ cup half and half – 2 tablespoons brown sugar – ½ teaspoon vanilla extract – ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon – ¼ teaspoon sea salt – 1 loaf bread sliced 1-inch think (Brioche, Sourdough, French, Texas Toast) – Butter for cooking – Toppings: Maple syrup honey, yogurt, powdered sugar, whipped cream, blueberry or strawberry compote and/or berries, for serving Instructions

– In a large measuring cup, add the eggs, heavy cream, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.

– Stir to combine.

– Arrange the bread in a shallow casserole dish, and your the mixture over them, turning them until they are well moistened.

– Heat your Blackstone grilled to moderately low heat, about 325° F.

– Melt the butter in your griddle and cook until golden, about 2 to 3 minutes per side.
