I love most vegetables, but tomatoes have a special place in my heart.

I have love them since childhood.   My father always grew them in the garden and sometimes dinner in the summer was as simple as a tomato sandwich.

I have such clear memories of picking tomatoes.  Sometimes, when we were feeling impatient we would eat green tomatoes (raw) early in the season.

I still shake my head at that one.

Once we got into the summer, there were always more tomatoes than our family of four could eat.  My parents were generous with gifting friends and co-workers with fresh tomatoes, but always saved enough so that my Mom could can them for fall and winter.

I miss those home grown tomatoes but feel fortunate that I'm able to buy tomatoes that are almost as delicious this time of year.  (Because nothing is as delicious as Dad's homegrown tomatoes!)

To celebrate the season, here are 20 Delicious Ways to Use Tomatoes from some of my favorite bloggers. They are sure to inspire us all!

Those tomatoes look better than peppers for stuffing. I love all those toppings so Ii better buy some because we did not grow any this year.

My tomatoes are just about ripe for picking and I can't wait to try some of these recipes. My first one though is going to be the Sheet Pan Pesto Chicken with Asparagus, Tomatoes & Walnuts. So tasty!

Tomatoes are something we can grow very well so always end up with a surplus. Thanks for the ideas.

I will be honest I am not the biggest tomato fan. Some of these recipes though looks like I should think about that in a different way.
