If you are looking for a healthy breakfast or snack that is packed with protein you are going to want to try this Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie! Your mornings have never been easier than with this deliciously easy smoothie.
Thanks to Premier Protein for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
If your life is anything like mine, you are always on the run.
As much as fall is my favorite time of year, it brings with it a pace that can make having the time for good nutrition a challenge.
With school, family commitments, and a busy business, I often find myself tempted to take the easy way out when I’m feeling hangry. Usually, this involves something that is going to feel good in the minute but ultimately leaves my energy levels waning.
I try to meal prep on the weekend, but with two growing boys that eat as if they were training for professional sports, rarely to my efforts last through the week.
The solution? I make sure I’m getting a smoothie, like this Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie, every day.
Not just some days. (Like I used to do.)
There simply isn’t an easier way to pack in nutrition. In less than five minutes, I can be enjoying a delicious drink that is loaded with nutrition.
I love how easy it is to add in extras to my smoothie. (Make sure you check the recipe notes for a list of things I like to add to this Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie.)
But you know what? The most important factor to me is making sure that my smoothie is protein packed.
You guys know that not loving meat I struggle to get enough protein. I am one of those people who would live on carbs if I could. Unfortunately, as much as I love carbs they don’t love me back. (At least not in the absence of adequate protein and healthy fats.)
Lately, I’ve been enjoying Premier Protein because it is one of the tastiest ways I’ve found to pack in the protein to my smoothies.
Not only do their shakes taste great, but they are a company I can feel good about supporting.
Do you ever check the packaging in a store to see if it is environmentally friendly? I know I do.
According to an Inconculture Consumer Insights study that was published in early 2018, checking the packaging to ensure positive social or environmental impact is one of the top activities U.S. consumers are doing to support social and environmental causes.
It was this shift in consumer behavior that inspired Premier Protein to look at its current packaging and move towards more environmentally friendly packaging.
Premier Protein is committed to being a responsible company and protecting the health of our planet. Not only are Premier Protein shakes’ an easy way to get your protein, they now offer a new Earth First packaging which features FSC®-certified Tetra Pak cartons and a re-sealable plant-based cap derived from sugarcane. This certification means that only responsibly sourced materials are used. New Earth First package demonstrates the brand’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint and introduces a more sustainable package for consumers.
The carton is lightweight and made mostly from paper that comes from sustainably managed forests where trees can continue to grow.
Once it is recycled, the paper fiber in Premier Protein’s Tetra Pak cartons can be re-used to make everything from coloring books to tissues and benches.
The sugarcane cap is durable, protective, and 100% recyclable.
You know what else is exciting? It is GMO-free!
Since only resources that can grow back each year are used, global CO2 emissions are significantly reduced as compared to plastic made from petroleum.
You can identify Premier Protein shakes’ new Earth First packaging by the leaf imprint on the re-sealable cap. This denotes the packaging is 100% recyclable.
The new Premier Protein Earth First packaging will be available across the shakes’ seven-flavor portfolio. This includes
- Strawberries & Cream
- Bananas & Cream
- Peaches & Cream
- Cookies & Cream
