This Blackstone BBQ Chicken is an easy dinner and one of our favorite Blackstone chicken recipes. It uses simple ingredients, is family-friendly, and loaded with flavor.
Serve it with Blackstone Corn on the Cob and Blackstone Asparagus. A simple salad also works beautifully alongside Gouda Mac and Cheese.

Ingredients
You can buy premade BBQ seasoning or use my homemade BBQ seasoning. It is a combination of smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, brown sugar, onion powder, chili powder, ground mustard, and cayenne pepper.
Wendy's Tips and Tricks
- If you would like to marinade the chicken ahead of time, mix the BBQ seasoning with avocado or olive oil and pour over the chicken in a shallow dish or bowl. Refrigerate for an hour or up to overnight.
- Don't skip preheating your griddle to ensure the chicken cooks evenly. It takes longer than you think to come to temperature!
- Keep the griddle surface lightly oiled with your cooking oil of choice (I like avocado oil) to prevent sticking and to promote a golden crust on the chicken.
- Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure that the temperature reaches 160°F before removing the chicken from the heat.
- Brush the BBQ sauce in layers, flipping the chicken occasionally to build a caramelized, flavorful glaze.
- Let the chicken rest under foil after cooking to allow juices to redistribute, resulting in juicier bites.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
