Ingredients and Substitutions
- Sweetener: I used sugar. You can use honey, maple syrup, agave or a sugar substitute like allulose or monk fruit to skip the added sugar. Stay away from sweeteners with erythritol, as they do not work well with frozen treats.
- Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice: Bottled juice works in a pinch, but fresh fruit gives the best taste—opt for navel or Valencia oranges if available.
Tips & Tricks
- Use freshly squeezed orange juicer—bottled juice can taste flat.
- Don’t skip the 24-hour freeze—your base needs to be completely solid for the Creami to work properly.
- Want a softer sorbet? Let the pint sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before processing.
- For an extra citrus boost, add a little orange zest to the mixture before freezing. Vanilla extract can also be added for more flavor.
- Store leftovers in the pint container with a lid and re-spin before serving again.
- Want a creamy treat? Use whole milk or heavy cream in place of half of the water, and use the lite ice cream setting to turn this into a Ninja Creami Orange sherbet recipe.
- You can use a scoop of vanilla or orange protein powder to turn this into protein ice cream.

Orange sorbet turned out fantastic and was a hit with the family. I followed ur recipe with sugar and water added touch of runny honey and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla paste. Will certainly make again and follow more recipes.
