Ingredients
- Tortilla chips: Use your family's favorite brand of tortilla chips. We used plain, but seasoned chips (such as lime) can be a fun way to mix things up.
- Avocado oil: Chosen for its high smoke point and neutral flavor that makes it perfect for cooking on the griddle. Olive oil can be a good substitute.
- Yellow Onion: White onion can be used for a sharper taste.
- Jalapenos: For less spice, bell peppers are an excellent alternative.
- Ground beef: Ground turkey or pork can be used as an alternative. Diced chicken can be used to bake Blackstone chicken nachos.
- Taco seasoning: Gives the dish its signature flavor. Make your own with chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and cumin for a custom blend.
- Salt: Adjust according to taste and dietary needs.
- Water: Helps to distribute the taco seasoning evenly. Beef or chicken broth can add additional flavor.
- Salsa: Use your favorite salsa with the preferred level of heat, or make a fresh pico de gallo for a fresher taste.
- Cheddar Cheese: Feel free to play with your cheese combinations. Monterey Jack cheese or Pepper Jack can spice things up or add a different flavor profile.

Tips and Tricks
- Get Creative with Your Choices: Think outside the box with options like pulled pork, BBQ chicken, or even some unconventional picks like pineapple for a sweet and savory twist. Or, go all in on the listed toppings for super-tasty Blackstone nachos supreme.
- Prep Ahead: If you're planning to serve Blackstone Nachos at a gathering, you can prepare the meat mixture ahead of time. This way, when it's go-time, all you have to do is assemble and melt, making it easier to enjoy the party.
- Serve Immediately: Once your nachos are put together, they are best enjoyed fresh off the griddle. The longer they sit, the soggier the chips become. Leftover nachos are perfectly safe to eat, but they aren't going to be as delicious as they were fresh.
- Sauce It Up: Don't forget the drizzles and dips! Whether it's extra salsa, homemade guacamole, a dollop of sour cream, or a spicy queso, having a variety of sauces on the side lets your guests customize their nacho plate exactly how they like it.
