Ninja Creami Banana Ice Cream is rich, creamy, and sweet, made with simple ingredients you probably already have on hand. Ripe bananas bring big flavor, while a splash of vanilla and a touch of cream cheese give it that scoop-shop taste and creamy texture you love. Whether you're making it for an easy dessert or looking for a fun way to use up ripe bananas, this one’s a winner the whole family will devour.

In my kitchen, overripe bananas never go to waste—they get a one-way ticket to the freezer to be repurposed for banana bread or frozen treats.
This Ninja Creami Banana Ice Cream is my go-to when I want something quick, creamy, and naturally sweet.
When I tested this recipe, I loved how the banana brings its own richness, so you need less added sugar. It’s the kind of treat that tastes indulgent but feels wholesome, with no mystery ingredients.

Ingredient Notes and Substitutions
- Bananas: Use fresh or frozen ripe bananas. Riper means more sweetness.
- Half and Half: Use milk or a blend of milk and cream if you don't have half-and-half. Use almond milk, coconut milk, or cashew milk for a dairy-free and vegan option.
- Sugar: Regular granulated sugar is classic, but you can use maple syrup, honey, or a low-carb sweetener like allulose if preferred
- Cream Cheese: Adds body and creaminess to the final texture. It is a nice addition, but can be omitted.
- Vanilla: We are big fans of vanilla bean paste, but vanilla extract works just fine.
Tips & Tricks for Ninja Creami Banana Ice Cream
Use Overripe Bananas
This is one time where going green is a bad thing. When it comes to banana ice cream, the spottier the banana, the better. Overripe bananas bring sweetness, which means you can use less sugar—or skip it entirely for a no-added-sugar Ninja Creami banana ice cream.
How to Fix Crumbly Ninja Creami Banana Ice Cream
Banana-based Creami pints often come out crumbly on the first spin—totally normal! Just use the Re-spin function.
Still too powdery? Add a tablespoon or two of milk or cream directly into the center of the pint and Re-spin again.
Add Flavor with Mix-Ins and Variations
Use the Mix-In setting after spinning to stir in your favorite goodies:
- Mini dark chocolate chips
- Peanut butter swirls
- Chopped pecans or walnuts (toast them for the best flavor)
- Crushed graham crackers
Want a twist? Stir cocoa powder into the base before freezing for banana chocolate ice cream in the Ninja Creami.
Make Protein Banana Ice Cream
Looking for a high-protein treat? Add ¼ cup of vanilla protein powder (we like Transparent Labs) to the base before freezing. You can also use Greek yogurt or cottage cheese for a naturally creamy, protein-rich option.
Tip: Whey or casein powders blend best. Plant-based powders might require more liquid and an extra Re-spin to reach that classic creamy texture.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Pour the mixture into the Ninja Creami pint container.

Place on the base and press the ICE CREAM button.
