Who says salad has to be boring? Get inspired to eat healthy with these delicious gluten free salads!  There is so much variety that eating healthy will be a breeze!

For two years, I used salad for breakfast as a sneaky way to get ten minutes alone.

I make no apologies.

The boys are just fourteen months apart.

One would think that the memories would fade now that they are eleven and twelve, I doubt I will ever forget the sheer exhaustion I experienced when they were between the ages of two and four.

I used to sing a silly song to make them laugh that went something like "Boys, boys everywhere...on my toes and in my hair."

The first time I sung it, one of them was literally in my hair and the other on my toes.

In those sweet but exhausting days, they were all over me.

All. The. Time.

Tiny hands pounded on the door anytime I attempted a shower or trip to the bathroom.

The rare solo grocery store trip felt like a spa vacation because I was so lacking in alone time.

But once a day, I had my Mom-Magic.

I could send the boys running to their Dad with the flick of a wrist.

It was as simple as drizzling my homemade salad dressing on my salad.

The boys dubbed my salads "Stinky Salad," and wanted nothing to do with me while I was eating it.

As much as I loved those intense days of Momming, I savored those ten minutes of quiet. Almost as much as I loved what was in the bowl.

I have always been passionate about fresh produce, and salads are one of my favorite meals.

Never to I enjoy them more than in Spring.

If you are looking for a little inspiration to up your salad game, I've got 26 Gluten Free Salads to Try This Spring from some of my favorite bloggers.

I don't know about you, but these salads certainly leave me inspired and excited about lightening up my meal plans.

And who knows, maybe they will even help us Mom's get a few minutes of quiet time!

I gotta say the bowls here are so bright looking. I'm partial to anything with avocado and I'm scared of fresh tomatoes, raw. Otherwise these are beautiful bowls that I'd love love to try. You go and don't mind the boys. Eat your pretty salad proudly.
